PruneSocial

Review your social media history before someone else does.

Upload your official account exports. PruneSocial reviews supported text from the last seven years and shows you what deserves a second look, and how to clean it up.

Add your exports

Drop the ZIP files exactly as you downloaded them. The ZIP is opened and read on your device. Only the text of your posts, comments, likes, and bios is sent, to be scored.

or click to choose files. Large archives may take longer to open, especially on phones. We’ll show what we read and what your report will cover before you pay.

We use this to allow one free preview per person. Your results stay on this page and aren’t emailed. We store a one-way hash of the address, not the address itself, for that limit. Tick the box below only if you want follow-up emails.

Free. Rates a 50-item sample of what you added, leaning toward wording that matches the published categories, plus full fix steps for your most serious finding. The $49 report scores the rest of your seven-year window, up to 5,000 items.

How does this protect my privacy?

Your ZIP is opened and read on your device. Only the text of your posts, comments, likes, and bios (with each item’s date, type, and a link to it when the export includes one) is sent, to be scored, and only when you run a preview or a report. If this browser can’t read an export in the background, it reads it on this device more slowly, and nothing is sent while it does. Photos, messages and passwords are never sent. More than one ZIP for the same platform is fine, for a download that was split into parts or a second account of your own. Drop split parts together. Checking a fresh export after a cleanup? Click remove next to that platform first, or the new file is added to the one already loaded. Read the Privacy Policy.

Having trouble with a ZIP? Upload files manually

Unzip the export, pick the platform, add its files, and click Add these files. Repeat for each platform, and everything goes into one report.

Pinterest has no individual-file option. Drop its ZIP unopened into the upload box above.

Can't find a file by clicking through folders? Unzip the whole export first, then use your file picker's search box (usually a magnifying glass or a keyboard shortcut like Ctrl+F or Cmd+F once the picker is open) and type the exact filename below. That's faster than browsing, especially on exports with dozens of similarly-named files.

Unzip your X archive and open the data folder. Upload tweets.js and like.js. If you have long posts or Articles, add note-tweet.js and article.js too:

Payment confirmed

Since you uploaded your files before checkout, we’re starting your report automatically. Watch your email: your confirmation will say whether the report is on its way, and if it couldn’t start automatically, it includes a link to finish it. Nothing is used up if that happens.

Request your exports

Every platform lets you download a copy of your own data, but none of them do it instantly. Request one from each platform you use, all in one sitting. Most arrive by email within minutes to a day, a few take longer, and Reddit can take up to 30 days, so start there. When they arrive, there’s no need to unzip anything, just drop the ZIP files into the upload box.
